Doors will open at 10:30am for a prompt 11:00am start, continuing until around 3:30pm.
The outline plan and running order for the day is as follows:
- Introduction and welcome by our President, Colleen Ashwin-Kean
- Address by Sir Roger Gale MP
- An illustrated talk Unsung Figures from the beginnings of Herne Bay Records Society and its Museum by Dr Helen Wickstead
- An illustrated talk The HBHRS War Memorial project and explanation of the displays by Colleen Ashwin-Kean
- A tribute to the late John Fishpool, with a launch of his final publication.
- Lunch break and time for view the exhibitions
- An illustrated talk Ongoing HBHRS research projects and our facilities at Pettman House by Margaret Burns
- An illustrated talk Herne Bay’s lost Public Houses by Mike Bundock
